Legacy slider conflicting with Yoast SEO plugin

We are experiencing an issue with the Slider where it enters an infinite scroll / looping behavior when the second image loads on frontend.

Details:
- WordPress version: 6.9
- Issue: On the second slide load, the page begins infinite scrolling or looping unexpectedly
- Behavior changes when Yoast SEO is active
Important observation:
When the Yoast SEO plugin is deactivated, the slider works correctly and the infinite scroll issue does not occur.

This suggests a possible JavaScript conflict or interaction between the old Slider and Yoast SEO.

Please let us know:
- If this is a known compatibility issue
- If there is a recommended fix, workaround, or setting adjustment
- If debug information or logs would help troubleshoot further

When you say you’re using a Legacy slider, are you using Responsive Slides, Nivo Slider, or Coin Slider? https://www.metaslider.com/docs/legacy-slideshow-options/

Thanks @gnanasekaran. I would recommend switching this slideshow to FlexSlider if you see an issue. The NivoSlider option stopped receiving updates in 2023.

Hi @stevejburge After switching the slideshow to FlexSlider, it breaks on the frontend, as shown in the screenshot.

Hi @gnanasekaran. Our support here on the WordPress forum is limited in the holidays. I would recommend moving to FlexSlider. We offer a wide range of different themes that you can test. There’s also some troubleshooting steps to follow if a theme isn’t displaying correctly: https://www.metaslider.com/docs/troubleshooting/

@stevejburge As @macbeathdigitalsolutions mentioned, many users facing the same issue. This problem is not related to the slider type or theme. ML Slider is conflicting with Yoast SEO.

We have been using ML Slider for a long time across many of our sites, and this issue is now breaking all of them. I urge your team to fix this issue as soon as possible.

@gnanasekaran It turned out that other report was mistaken. I would surprised be if Yoast is an issue. That plugin doesn’t load any frontend CSS or Javascript.
