I’m trying to get some simple galleries to open in a lightbox but I see the only choice I have is the one by dFactory. I didn’t install this plugin so it comes included with Foogallery now? I can’t get it to work.

I also downloaded Foobox and can’t get that to work either. I don’t see it as an option in my galleries. I do get a notice that I have a gallery where foobox is not enabled but after I enable it, it still doesn’t show up.

Nor can I get image hover to show title to work. I already disabled all other plugins and changed to a default theme… nada….

    Need some help

  • I had this problem too and it turns out you have to separately download dFactory’s plugin.

I couldn’t get Foobox’s lightbox to work either.

Thanks alwalton. This make no sense to require use of a 3rd party plugin but not provide that plugin nor have any documentation on how to make it work.

I don’t care for this plugin and want to use Foobox. The prettyphoto option shows up under the website’s header. How do I disable the need to use dFactory plugin?

@dorysp – sorry for the confusion.

dFactory is a 3rd party plugin and you need to install it to make it work with FooGallery. Your idea for disabling certain lightbox options is also a good idea.

FooBox is also a separate plugin and you need to install & activate it to get it working with FooGallery. Check the extensions page under FooGallery menu, and double check that FooBox plugin is marked as Activated on that page.

I will work on the integration for both of these plugins, so that it will show you some help on how to install if you do not have it installed. This will be released in a future update.

thanks for pointing this out, and thanks for using FooGallery.

    Hi bradvin

I installed foobox, it is active but it still doesnt show in the options, only dfactory. what else can i do to make it work?

I finally got dFactory to work but never Foobox. I still think Foogallery needs better documentation with regards to all this.

Lots of people seem to be having an issue getting Foobox to work with Foogallery. Foobox isn’t appearing in the drop down so it’s defaulting to the dFactory lightbox!

    hi all

I have worked on the integration for FooBox in 1.3.8 and it should be better.

I now also make it obvious when choosing the lightbox that it is not installed, which should help with some of the confusion.
