It’s the current version, 3.0.2 that is having trouble. * —- * I am unable to get the lightbox to display properly on mobile (android) devices I’ve tested. As a result of this issue I’ve turned off the theme lightbox until I can solve the problem. * The lightbox works as expected on a desktop pc. On mobile devices however the lightbox loads images way down the bottom of pages off the screen. When mobile visitors click images they see a dark screen (the lightbox) and are unaware that their image has loaded out of sight way down at the bottom of their browser window. * The page that this first became apparent on is here: [http://otterboyd.com/black-bear-cub-visits-my-house/](http://otterboyd.com/black-bear-cub-visits-my-house/). I soon discovered that all pages and posts using a lightbox were affected. * Like many of my pages the one mentioned above contains a grid of images and each should open in a lightbox when clicked. Since I can’t get that working properly on mobile I disabled the lightbox. For now images open in their own pages which makes for cumbersome navigation of images. * Perhaps I hadn’t noticed the issue up front but I don’t recall this being a problem until the last few days. As far as I remember the lightbox was working in desktop and mobile when I first used it. I assumed then that I might have a conflicting plugin or setting so I’ve spent some time deactivating plugins, restoring settings and removing any custom CSS to see if I can get back to a functional lightbox. * I deactivated all other plugins with any sort of gallery features, including jetpack, and this problem persists. * I then tried other gallery and lightbox plugins, such as jQuery Masonry and Simple Lightbox, but when any other plugin is in use both the desktop and mobile views are affected in the same way (lightbox images are pushed out of sight to the bottom of the page). This occurs whether I have the theme lightbox turned on or off. * At this point the best I can do is get the theme lightbox half working (works on desktop but not on mobile). I can’t get any other gallery or lightbox plugin to work properly in desktop or mobile. * I can’t think of what else to try, other than experimenting with other themes, that will let me use the lightbox and other gallery plugins properly in both desktop and mobile views. I really like the look of the Virtue theme and hope there will be a way to solve this lightbox issue so I won’t have to start over with a new theme. Thanks! The instructions with the rollback plugin gives numerous warnings about the damage it can do in some cases, so if you use it be careful. In my case there were no problems.
