# Likes Button

 * we installed wordpress and would like to add the Like button to our site:
    [https://en.support.wordpress.com/likes/](https://en.support.wordpress.com/likes/)
 * we cannot find any Marketing tab when we
    Click on Tools → Marketing
 * Does the Like button not come with wordpress installation? Is this something 
   specific to wordpress.com? How to get it? We are fine using a plugin for it as
   long as it doesn’t connect to the internet.

   I said. The plugin shouldn’t be making any http/https/AJAX calls to a remote 
   server to do its work.

 * Yes, the page you referenced talks about a feature on wordpress.com that is not
   in the self-hosted software from wordpress.org. But as Steve says, there are 
   many plugins that count clicks on a Like button, some of which count them locally
   and some which count them elsewhere. You can search for ratings, or stars, or
   likes.
