Hello, there.
You’ll want to make sure they are not an Administrator user in this case.
If you’re just wanting them to be able to add and edit posts and pages, then an “Author” user role would be more appropriate.
However, since I don’t know the full scope of your project, I can only recommend you read this guide about user roles so you can best decide what level of access is best for them:
Roles and Capabilities
Please let us know if you have any other questions!
Thank you for your reply. It’s not for general wordpress usage, it’s specifically for the jetpack mobile editing app, which my client uses. I am scared they will break the site. I am familiar with user roles and permissions, but I can’t see a way to edit it for their usage of the app. They have shop manager roles (as they have a wwoo shop). Thanks
Hi @peacockcreativedesign,
Hmm, I’m afraid there are no specific settings for preventing your client to access the Jetpack settings only.
Limiting what they can access and manage via the role capabilities options mentioned by MadHatter seems to be the best way to take, even though I see what you mean.
My only suggestion would be to let them know to leave the Jetpack settings as they are, so they know this is something not worth adventuring 🙂
Hope that helps!
