Limiting admin-ajax.php script

    Hello,

    We have recently installed the free version of the plugin on our site to test it out and a couple of days ago we received a warning from our host provider, Siteground about excess CPU usage. We are on a very generous plan and have never reached the limit before.

    Among various proposed fixes, Siteground drilled in to the executions which were occurring on the account and it seems that a lot were from the admin-ajax.php script in this plugin. It seems to be getting executed with the action “sbi_load_more_clicked”.

    We have had the plugin set to check for updates only once per day and we don’t have the “Load more” option enabled so not sure why it’s running so many executions.

    Is there any way to be able to limit the admin-ajax.php from running so often?

    Thank you for your reply, much appreciate it.

    Just to clarify the situation, there were also a couple of other issues outside of Smash Balloon which were identified and which we fixed. This one was the only one left which was still getting raised by Siteground as an issue in terms of the load.

    In any case, we would appreciate you taking a look to see if there’s anything we can do to fix this so we’ve submitted the ticket on the plugin forum page as you’ve requested.
