# Link issue

 * Im hosting my own server and when I create a link it automatically places my 
   ip address infront of it
 * eg. [google](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/link-issue/www.google.ca?output_format=md)
   
   when clicked on this will redirect to [http://myip/wordpress/www.google.ca](http://myip/wordpress/www.google.ca),
   which of course is not what I want. Which config file do I need to modify? Any
   help will be appreciated.

 * When you create the link a “www.” will cause that.
    Use “[http://www](http://www).”
   and all should be good.
