link on meta box date

I have a problem with the event link in the grey meta box that is diplayed under each of the events listed when selecting a category… like this:

The link on the images AND the link on the Title of the event just under the image are both fine BUT not the link in the grey meta box where a date is diplayed (the date of the event) This links to a different archive and gives me LOTS of 404’s

HOW do I change this link to match the other two that correctly links to the “eventname” (postname) as specified in permalinks.
