Disable Lightbox for WordPress image linking

    When I place a single image without linking it to its media file and add a description (figcaption) with an external link, this link will be opened in a lightbox. I think that’s a mistake and should be fixed…

    EDIT: Sorry, it seems that this has nothing to do with figcaption but with the link itself. So why does every link to a media file open in a lightbox, although I did not enable Lightbox for WordPress image linking?
