# Links Manager Added Functionality

 * I would like to see the `get_links` template tag provide more parameters, specifically
    1. show_notes (and permit Notes to be an unlimited length, unlike Description) 
       and
    2. show_rss
 *  with a `<br />` between each of them. (If the RSS link could also have that 
   standard orange button as an image in addition to the link image, that would 
   be even better!) I would like to see the Links Manager Categories function more
   like Post Categories, so that they could have subcategories, Templates similar
   to Category Templates, and a similar way to list them. I would like having the
   Description showing up on the Manage Links tab be an option you could turn off
   or on, instead of being stuck with it.

   has several pages that are annotated link collections on various topics and subtopics.
   This added functionality to Links Manager and its associated template tags would
   permit me to maintain these pages with greater efficiency.

 * This is the only thread I found talking about the length of the description field
   for links in my blogroll. Is there a way to increase the length of the field –
   to accept more characters? My link descriptions tend to get long – about 600 
   characters – and since the description field is currently restricted, it bites
   off a lot of text. I am a newbie so it’s possible I’m missing something. My blog
