We are glad to inform you that we have an amazing extension for that named “Multi Directory Linking”. By using this extension you can add other listings of different directories on any of the listings.
Basically, after activating this extension, you will have a field named Linked Directory(you must have several directories) in your add listing form. By adding this field in your add listing form, a listing owner will be able to add any of the listings of that directory he added while creating a listing.

Thanks, I’m only trying to link listings within a directory, not across multiple directories, is there a way to achieve similar functionality without the extension?

Actually, our Related Listing field in Single listing Layout has almost the same functionality you are looking for. The related listing field shows the listings within a directory. However, you can not specify the listing which you want to show. There are two logics for similar listing in our default feature which you can use. Here is the screenshot, https://prnt.sc/26jey3f
