Litespeed cache not working

    Hi,

    I have a Litespeed Enterprise licence and have installed and configured The Litespeed Cache for WordPress plugin. However, I am encountering a number of issues. First when I view the page source, the timestamp always updates – so the page does not appear to be caching. It says “Page cached by Litespeed Cache 7.7 on [TODAYS DATE TIME RIGHT NOW]”. I would have expected this to cache on the first time someone visits the page and then deliver that same timestamp to everyone. But its not working that way on my setup (but all the settings indicate otherwise – please see screenshot attached).

    I have even rolled everything back so that I was using the default “twenty twenty four” theme, only had Woocommerce, Litespeed Cache and ACF plugins enabled and it still never caches the page.

    @georgedk4 please send me report to Litespeed. This can be done from LSC => Toolbox => Report => click on “Send to Litespeed” and share JUST the ID generated. I will be able to start debugging the problem

    I was able to look over the site link and I see your problem. It’s true, that must remain the same as long as the cache is not cleared.
    From what I see is that the cache is cleared on each refresh. Please enable SLC logs (from https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lscache/lscwp/toolbox/#debug-log ) set to Advance level.
    There are 3 types of logs, please open Purge Log and refresh any page on frontend. Then come back to logs and see what appears.

    It’s a long shot, but try disabling object cache, for test only
    From what I see the active plugins are not known to cause this issue.
    Did you added custom code to theme?

    @georgedk4 doesn’t seem to show any helpfull.
    Please visit frontend(from incognito) and look into the purge logs, does something appear there?

    I just visited the site in an incognito window and checked the debug logs – nothing has been added to the log.

    Do you have any idea what could be causing this not to work?

    it looks like the server does not set up the cache root correctly ( where the cache file is stored ) , is this a cPanel server or something ?

    Hi,

    Its a server running sPanel (not cPanel). Can you give me any guidance on where i can set that cache root up please? I have access to the litespeed server settings on port 7080 but the host told me that everything was setup correctly (but thats clearly not the case).

    you need to check the webadmin console -> server -> cache -> Storage Path , and then in vhost conf -> cache -> Storage Path

    make sure both path are set , and set into different path , and this path must be readable/writable to the user that runs LiteSpeed (usually nobody , or www-data , depends on system )

    then restart LSWS, try open few pages, see if there is any file generates in the storage path you set in vhost level

    I set the paths but it still doesn’t cache. I am at a loss to explain whats going on. I am more than happy for you to login to the admin console and have a look yourself if there is a way for me to transmit the login to you securely?

    this is more of server conf issue instead of plugin issue , our server staff will assist you further.
