 * Hi everyone,
 * I love this theme! … but I’m having some loading issues.
 * The site loads quickly enough most of the time, but it seems like on a user’s
   very first visit to the site there’s about 5 seconds where the browser just spins
   its angry loading icon before actually beginning to load the page.
 * It’s been hard to test this problem, because it’s hard to know how much is being
   cached in the browser.
 * I’d love some feedback about how it’s loading for you, and any tips on how to
   fix it!
 * Thanks!

 * Hi,
 * Your issue is most probably due to large images on your website.
 * For example, the following image. It’s more than 5000 pixel.
    [http://georgedumontier.com/PEC/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/pec-about-1.jpg](http://georgedumontier.com/PEC/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/pec-about-1.jpg)
 * You don’t need such a large size image, reduce all your inserted images to less
   than 2000 pixel.
 * You can use the load images on scroll option, which will speed up website loading.

 * Hey Denzel,
 * Thanks for the heads up about the photos. I knew I had some big ones, but jeez—
   5k pixels is way too many. I’ll be sure to scale those down.
 * But I still suspected there was something else slowing me down.
 * Turns out my client’s host was running PHP 5.2 -_-
 * Upgrading to 5.6 made a huge difference! It’s night and day faster. But honestly
   I’m impressed that Customizr is even compatible with 5.2. Props to the devs for
   backwards compatibility.

 * Hi,
 * Yes, credits to the developers.
 * I think it’s much faster if you are running PHP 7

 * I am running 7.1.0 on my localhost.
 * Thank you
