 * The animation is there, its just a CSS problem that makes the loading GIF not
   to appear where it suppose to. Will fix it in v8.0.2

 * Actually, I am wrong. I just tested your site:
 * My loading image only displays before the gray background (rendered by Google)
   appears. In other words, if something would be wrong with generated map, you 
   would see a white rectangle with loading GIF.
 * In your case, the problem is that your site is too slow, it takes too much time
   to load the map image tiles, so in the meanwhile you see gray background.
 * I hope this helps
