# local wordpress issue

 * hello
    i have wordpress on local wamp ( a windows server 2008R2 DC and DNS ) 
   Website open normally on chrome if i use the IP address or the domain name of
   the server Website open normally on ie11 if i only use the IP address , if i 
   try to use the domain name the website is distorted i changed the WordPress Address(
   URL) and Site Address (URL) to the domain ( example : [http://main/wordpress](http://main/wordpress))
   I flushed dns , cleared cache but ie11 source code still points to the IP and
   not the domain and still not working right . please advise

 * What happens with Chrome using the domain name ? If this loads properly then 
   there is an issue with ie11 and its cache, try shift+refresh etc.

 * RossMitchell i tried clearing cache , flushing dns , etc
    i updated ie to ie11(
   the last ie ) the site works well on both ip and pc name on chrome the site works
   well on ip on ie11 but it get distorted when using the name . i am using a KB
   theme

 * What is the browser inspector telling you ?
    Use it in both chrome and IE and
   see the difference.

   i am afraid it is a dns issue with wamp

 * Each browser (chrome, firefox, ie etc) has its own “browser inspector”, an addon
   that shows how the web page is being interpreted by the browser.
    Google “browser
   inspector” and the name of your browser for how to enable and access its offering.
 * What does ie11 support say ?
    It could be a dns issue, but it is curious that
   chrome can sort it out. You need to be able to see which files (css, images etc)
   the browser can load and which it cannot, for this you use the browser inspector.

 * when i go into ie inspector mode ( F12 ) i can choose document mode 10 or edge
   and it works perfectly .
    how can i make this document mode or browser mode permanent?
