# Localisation / editing sub-headers

 * I have downloaded and installed a localisation file in my preferred language.
   After installation, it translated everything within the “administration section”
   but nothing visible for the visitor – e.g. search, categories, leave a comment.
   etc.
 * I have opened the relevant file in an editor but the fields I’m looking for seems
   to be correctly translated.
 * Could it be that the file I downloaded was for wordpress 2.1 when I’m running
   2.2? Does it really make a difference?
 * Is there any way for me to translate these headings manually by just eding the
   PHP files? Which php file / files I’m I looking for?
 * I’m also interested in translating the name of the index page – which is called“
   blog” to “start” or something similiar.
    Please advice. F

 * If you want to translate your visible site into your language, then yeah, you’ll
   have to do that yourself, or find a theme that is in your language. The .mo files
   don’t translate theme files for you – only your admin area files. Themes you 
   have to handle yourself.
 * As for where/what files – start going through them all in whatever theme you’re
   using.
