# Localize theme without localizing Backend

 * Hi everyone!
 * I am having a bit of a problem figuring out how to do that: I have a localized
   theme, with a /languages/ folder in it and 5 different .mo files with different
   languages.
 * Now if I define a specific language in wp-config.php, the language switches. 
   Great.
 * But what I would like to do is to be able to switch the language of my frontend
   while keeping the admin panel in English.
 * Ideally, an additional line in my admin theme page, with checkboxes with the 
   different available languages to choose from, would be just perfect!
 * Do you think that’s possible?

 * I use [Bogo](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bogo/) plugin to switch between
   languages.
 * It lets you choose admin menu languages from your profile page, as long as you
   have the MO file installed.

 * However I am afraid this is not exactly what I am looking for. I want to be able
   to change the frontend, but not the backend. This plugin does the contrary.

 * hd-j did you ever solve this? I have the same problem and with a MU site to add
   to the complexity.
