# Lock button doesn’t always save

 * When I explicitly click the padlock to lock a row, then save settings, the padlock
   state does not always save. Sometimes it does save, other times it does not. 
   The checkbox states always save even when the padlock state does not.
 * I am noticing this also happens when the padlock state implicitly changes (when
   I change a checkbox and the row implicitly locks). I am not able to see a pattern
   yet.
 * However, when I am editing the individual page I can lock the settings and it
   will save. So the bug seems to be specific to the matrix.

 * I’ve done every kind of test and never was able to reproduce the same issue.
 * Are you sure you don’t have also a single page open in another tab and sometimes
   you save that page?
 * For example, let’s say you have a page called “sample-page”.
 * You are in the Singles settings and you have the row related to “sample-page”,
   but you also have on another tab the page “sample-page” open.
 * The settings of the row related to “sample-page” in the matrix may be overridden
   by the settings of the single page. The single page maybe even auto-saved.
 * Do you know what I mean?
 * Let me know if this could be a possible cause. If not so, we will investigate
   deeper.

 * Thank you for providing the helpful feedback. I did not consider the auto-save
   as a possible point of conflict. That is probably what was happening. I am marking
   this resolved for now. If I notice it happening again, I’ll check to make sure
   I don’t have other editors open before contacting you. Thank you!

 * This problem is occurring again. This time I made sure I am not currently editing
   the page in another tab. However, I was previously editing the page in another
   tab. I don’t know if that matters, but I closed that tab, refreshed the matrix,
   changed the lock setting and saved, but the lock settings do not save.
 * I am using firefox and I have the number of pages set to 109. I don’t know if
   either matters. I have been working in the Singles -> Pages today, and earlier
   the lock setting was saving. Now when I just worked on two new rows the lock 
   setting did not save. When I refresh the page it is unlocked again. But all the
   disable checkboxes did save. I have to go edit the page to apply the lock.
