    Hi.
    I installed the BPS security plugin yesterday. After installing the plugin I tried to log out and log in again. It worked.
    Today, after the first try I get the below error message:

    ERROR: This user account has been locked until 22 maj, 2015 19:10 due to too many failed login attempts. You can login again after the Lockout Time above has expired.

    I am positive that I have used the correct username and password.

    Why is this?

    The user account is locked because a hackerbot or spambot attempted to login to your site and locked that user account. Around early 2014, Brute Force attacks increased significantly and are steadily increasing.

    Brute Force Attack General Info: Automated Brute Force Login attacks by spambots and hackerbots are a regular and ongoing type of website attack. The volume and frequency of Brute Force Login attacks are steadily increasing and will continue to increase. Brute Force attacks make up somewhere in the neighborhood of 85 percent (probably more like 90 percent to 95 percent) of the total of all types of ongoing website attacks these days. BPS Login Security & Monitoring protects the WordPress Login page from Brute Force attacks, but if your username is publicly known/displayed or can be harvested by automated bots then your user account may get locked very frequently.
