I’ve got exactly the same problem! I’ve spent all day on it, aaaaaaaargh! In my case the login is telling me that the username isn’t recognised, and like newleafworks it’s not recognising the email address.
Please someone help us.
No-one else uses the site, and I’ve never given the username/password/email address to anyone else. Have we been messed around with by a mischief-maker, and if so what can we do please?

Thanks Esmi, but it can’t be a problem with my computer because I had someone try from another one and it didn’t work for her either. Any other suggestions?
And why can I log on to the wordpress forums but not to my wp-login or wp-admin sites?

newleafworks: the links that esmi has posted are nothing to do with your computer. Take a look at the third link she posted. It shows you what your login name is and what email address is being used and also shows you how to change the login name and password so that you can then get back into your wp-admin.

No. Only the password is one-way encrypted.

Im having another problem. After I tried to install a cronjob, after that I have not been able to log in to /wp-admin and when I reset the password it sends me an incomplete email missing the rest password link, and I have also tried to change it through phpmyadmin and still not working.
Can anybody suggest something?
