 * I logged into my hosting account and moved the theme that I was using to another
   folder. My site is online but I still can’t login to my admin area.
 * I am using wordpress 2.2 and have not added any new plugins lately.

 * This is a bit vague – but I would start by moving the theme back, deactivate 
   the theme to one you will keep active – then move.
