# Looking for CMS theme

 * Played a bit with wordpress about 5 years ago but nothing serious.I’m retired
   now and looking to set up a website about our RV travels.
 * I see there are a lot of free themes available for download on the wordpress 
   site. I’m looking to set up a CMS site that has static content (front page etc)
   along with a blog section for rants and raves and a gallery section to share 
   photos with family and friends. How do I determine which theme would be suitable
   for what I’m looking to do, or can someone suggest a decent free (cause I’m on
   a fixed income) 2-column CMS ready theme to get me going.
 * I still have a lot of reading to do regarding plugins, widget ready themes, etc
   etc. Lot has changed since I looked at wordpress years ago. I also need to brush
   up on the little html and css that I know.
 * Any help would be appreciated.

 * As far as finding a theme that you want to you, just search the Themes section
   of this site under Extend. Pick whichever one you like and get to work!
 * When you install WordPress and your theme, you can go to the WP-Admin part of
   the site and click on Settings > Reading. There you can pick a static page to
   be your homepage, and then make a different page your blog page.
 * You can also get creative if you know the code and change around a front page
   template to suit your needs (or find someone who knows how to do it for you).
