 * Hi, All,
 * I hope you’re doing well.
 * I’m a rank novice with WordPress, so I apologize in advance if my question is
   overly naive. I’ve searched for answers on this forum, but I can’t find any so
   far.
 * I’m working on a WordPress (Version 3.3.2) website at [http://bdesilets.com/if](http://bdesilets.com/if).
   This WordPress site will, I hope, be an improved version of a fairly extensive
   site that I’ve been building for a number of years. It has a hundred pages or
   so. I’m using the default Twenty Eleven theme. The site consists entirely of
   pages–no blog entries at all.
 * I’ve had no trouble creating pages, mostly blank ones so far. I’ve found it easy
   to establish the site’s structure by selecting parent pages for all but a few
   top-level pages.
 * As I began creating the pages, I found that WordPress automatically created neat
   dropdown menus on the site’s front page. Everything looked great. Then, for no
   reason that I can see, the dropdown menus disappeared and were replaced by a
   randomly-ordered, cloud-style listing of all the pages. This sort of listing
   is, as you might assume, of no use to me.
 * I’m guessing that I must have inadvertently changed a setting somewhere, but
   I don’t have any idea what setting that might have been. Or maybe the problem
   is something else.
 * Any suggestions will be appreciated.
 * Sincerely,
    Brendan Desilets

 * Looks like fun. Did you touch the CSS as all?

 * Hi, Hattendesign,
 * Thanks for your quick reply.
 * No, I did not alter the CSS, as far as I know.
 * Have a great day.
 * Sincerely,
    Brendan Desilets

 * WP and most themes support only a certain # of nested menu items.
 * Also, have you considered how links such as
    //http://bdesilets.com/if/?page_id
   =155 will work now (SEO)?

 * You need to consider changing your permalink structure for SEO purposes. Also
   you may find your pages by selecting menu under appearance and adding hem back
   this way
