 * Developoer broken user trust by moving previously free functionality into expensive
   subscription version.
 * Can no longer be trusted that next year more currently free options wont be moved
   into expensive subscription only version (maybe dev wants more money from it).
 * Dev has proved unreliable and broken user trust.
 * Avoid. There are other options available.

 * Hi [@webdev465](https://wordpress.org/support/users/webdev465/),
 * I’m really sorry that you are disappointed here. Please let me clarify a few
   things: **No features in the free version of TablePress were removed!** I did
   however indeed discontinue and retire separate “TablePress Extension” plugins,
   which were available as add-ons on the TablePress website. For a long time, I
   tried making this sustainable by suggesting donations to its users. I invested
   a lot of time into these but having them as separate plugins was an additional
   maintenance burden that is now gone after integrating them directly. Also, just
   because I decided to once give these features away for free, it doesn’t mean
   that I have to do so indefinitely.
 * Also, I have been delivering solid work on TablePress for over 15 years. So,
   I’m not sure why you consider necessary technical changes as breaking user trust?
 * Again, **I did not remove any features from the free version!** Two years ago,
   I did however decide that some features that were available separately, as additional
   add-ons, should receive a new home in the TablePress premium versions, which
   now allow me to continue working on them and improving them continuously.
 * Thanks again for taking the time to provide feedback. I hope this clarifies the
   situation around the retired Extensions a bit and maybe you can reconsider you
   opinion of TablePress.
 * Best wishes,
   Tobias
