Try switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
I don’t understand how to do that.
I don’t have the folders. I tried to make them but it doesn’t work.
Yes – you do have a wp-content/themes folder. You need to look inside that folder.
I have found the theme, but I am still very confused.
Have you added -old to the end of that theme’s folder?
yes, but I don’t understand how to use FTP to do it because nothing has happened.
Does your wp-content/themes folder contain a folder called twentyeleven?
Re-upload a fresh copy of Twenty Eleven:
http://ww.wp.xz.cn/extend/themes/twentyeleven
Download the theme to your computer.
Unpack it and extract the twentyeleven folder.
Upload the folder to wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
And next time, don’t delete the default WordPress theme. Having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues.
Thanks however I cannot activate the theme because I have no access to my site right now since I added the theme. So, I don’t understand how I can activate the 2011 theme.
It should activate automatically.
Every one of my files goes to temp once it downloads and it did not reset itself….
I’m sorry but I have no idea what you’re talking about…
Okay sorry. When I downloaded the theme it went into my temporary files , not into wp-conternt, and it did not automatically change.
