# Lost Message Blocks

 * Hello!
 * I have recently performed an update on the theme and it seems I have lost functionality
   on the message blocks([http://demo.graphene-theme.com/features-and-functionalities/message-blocks/](http://demo.graphene-theme.com/features-and-functionalities/message-blocks/))
 * I looked in my theme folder and it seems I am missing some important files, based
   on looking at this:
    [http://docs.graphene-theme.com/Message_blocks_shortcodes](http://docs.graphene-theme.com/Message_blocks_shortcodes)
 * For example, I don’t see /includes/theme-shortcodes.php and I don’t see require(
   get_template_directory() . ‘/includes/theme-shortcodes.php’ ); in functions.php.
 * Should I reinstall the theme or perform the steps in the above in order to fix
   the issue?
 * I looked in a newly DLed version of the theme (1.9.4) and I don’t see /includes/
   theme-shortcodes.php in it. Has this been removed?
 * They are also missing from the editor so I can’t use them in Visual mode.

 * Hope you’re well! 🙂
 * I could confirm the issue on my test install using the latest version but when
   I tried to install the older version ( 1.9.3 to be exact ) it works fine.
 * Try it by downloading the older version here: [https://wordpress.org/themes/download/graphene.1.9.3.zip](https://wordpress.org/themes/download/graphene.1.9.3.zip)
 * Hope the developer will see this A.S.A.P
