# Lowercase

 * After upgrading to WP 3.9.1 and having a corrupted database corrected, some of
   our images were displaying as broken on older pages/posts. The problem was that
   some of the images in the Media Library used a combination of both lowercase 
   and uppercase letters in their file names. After the upgrades, all of the pages
   and posts are calling only lowercase file names, causing errors because the files
   were not renamed.

 * You could do this in .htaccess:
 * [http://www.askapache.com/htaccess/rewrite-uppercase-lowercase.html#Htaccess_Redirect_Uppercase_Lowercase](http://www.askapache.com/htaccess/rewrite-uppercase-lowercase.html#Htaccess_Redirect_Uppercase_Lowercase)
 * (other methods may apply for you that are also at that link)
 * But that looks server intensive. Your best best is to download the uploads folder
   and rename the files with caps, then upload back.
