# Magazine Basic Insert Custom Header

 * Hello,
 *  I am new to web design and WordPress and I recently installed a theme known 
   as Magazine Basic. I like it alot. However, I was trying to find if there was
   anyway to insert a custom header, not just a logo. I tried to search the forums
   as well as google but most of the answers made no sense to me. Do you just upload
   an image to a certain file folder? Can anyone explain?

    Do you mean you search a way for new header-content top of site: text
   or links or images? Or do you mean new content for a header.php ?

 * Sounds like you are referring to the ability to add a header background image,
   right? Something that would go behind the content of your header?
 * You would have to currently add some custom CSS to style.css in order to set 
   a background image to the header section.
 * I am thinking of adding the header image functionality in the next release though.

   your next release?
 * 1. Perhaps you can add theme-options for `#header`section: first for the logo,
   second for the blog-title, and – very important! – both with choosing one of …
   width.
 * 2. Perhaps you can add theme-options for blog-description, choosing “activate
   Blog-description” or “de-activate blog-description”, because sometimes an extra
   blog-description is *n o t* intended.
 * 3. If you don’t like wish Nr. 2, please let us know an answer to this question:
   
   If `#description` shell be de-activate, which php- and html-code can be de-commended?
