# MailChimp API Version 3 Ready?

 * I’m using your MailChimp Subscriber Chiclet for WordPress on one of my websites.
   It’s great. Thanks for offering it!
 * I’ve heard from MailChimp that they are depricating API version 2, and any integrations
   will stop working December 31, 2016. They’re offering an API version 3 now.
 * Does your plugin use their API, and — if so — will the plugin need updating by
   year end?

 * Hi Michael, thanks for the question!
 * I have already updated the plugin to use the MailChimp API v3 – you can see in
   the [changelog](https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-subscriber-chiclet/changelog/)
   that as of version 1.0.2 or higher, you should be good.
 * I have not set 1.0.2 as the default version yet though – that is an oversight
   on my part and I will set that soon, at which time you should see a WordPress
   Update alert asking you to update.
 * Bottom line: 1.0.2 should be available to you soon if you don’t have it already.
