Mailchimp doesn't connect with API key

    Installed latest version of mailchimp. After installing APIkey no connection could be made. I got the notification: Mailchimp relies on PHP CURL module. Is PHP CURL installed on my WP and updated to at least version 7.35? Does WP block the API key of Mailchimp? Who can help?
