Not all ad codes can be responsive. Some networks provide seperate tags for 320×50 for mobile and 728×90 for desktop, for example.

Say on desktop I want the ad to be just before the content, so I paste the 728×90 code into one of the ad slots (say “Ad 3” and disable the ad showing for mobile and tablets. Then I select “Ad 3” to show just before the content under “General and Position”.

BUT, what if I want the 320×50 ad to show in that exact same spot for mobile too? I paste the code into another slot (say “Ad 4”) but alas, I have already selected “Ad 3” to show just before the content under “General and Position”, so I can’t.

Is this really a problem or am I missing something here??

You would need to create a custom ad position or use a shortcode for this purpose. Read here how to create a custom ad position: https://wpquads.com/docs/create-custom-adsense-positions/

I am already working on that missing feature to define the same ad spot for separate devices.

Hi, thanks for the quick response. So essentially we’d need to edit the theme? (QUADS came with my premium theme and pre-defined spots).

Yes, exactely. Should not be complicated to add more pre defined ad spots. Your theme developer should be able to assist you with it.

OK thank you, I can do that, but it kind of defeats the purpose of the plugin 🙂
