The lack of support for H5, the inability to embed thumbnail images into the post and align it, no color options for text and the list goes on. * I switched back to the original editor and now the majority of my Yoast SEO options are missing or just blank. %category% starting showing up at the beginning of the titles for my posts not just on the site but in Facebook and Twitter. You can’t save the screen options even after removing the ones you don’t want or need. It just defaults back and includes everything. * I applaud your efforts at upgrading the options to be more like the page builders many folks use but it’s not ready for prime time yet. Because there’s support for tags from H1-H6. There are additional block options. You can select a text color and a background color of a paragraph block and also select headings up to H6. * You can insert an image block and select an alignment for it. When you select the alignment before adding the following blocks it can work a bit clumsy most of the time. * I don’t know what went wrong with the Yoast options, that’s something I couldn’t reproduce on my test-install * Thread Starter [Keith a.k.a. If I have to dig for it then it’s useless. Same with adding media. My format contains the featured image( which is fine) but also an embeddable thumbnail at the beginning of the post aligned left. When I tried it this morning, the option to do that was not there. * You still did not say anything about the countless options that after disabled all show up making it a cluttered mess to scroll through the ones I use when creating a post. Unlike others have mentioned, my categories and tags were still there but I don’t need half of the options available and prefer they be hidden. * I’ve since reverted back to the original editor. I’m sorry but if you’re hiding most of the options in a gear icon then that’s unproductive. Many people hated on Microsoft’s ribbon when it was introduced but I found it easy to maneuver; hiding everything is not the way to go. * I’ve used page builders for websites I’ve built for others because it’s easier than hand-coding or finding that perfect theme to suit their needs. For my purposes, I’ve switched straight-up to an AMP based theme for desktop and mobile which works wonderfully. Any minor tweaks I create are done through CSS. * What you’re trying to do is admirable but as many folks have already stated, make it an option to use one or the other and to be able to switch back without missing or messed up plugins. In this case, Yoast SEO is all jacked up. I’ll try reinstalling it. * I know you folks have been working on this for a long time but it needs to be more straightforward and accessible when creating a post. J.](https://wordpress.org/support/users/clorith/) * (@clorith) * [7 years, 8 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/major-issues/#post-10757000) * Hi, * I know this reply comes a bit late, but I just wanted to leave some more details for anyone that may pop in via searches and the likes. * In the case of headings, I believe the reason fro h5 and h6 being added to the sidebar, instead of in-line is because they are so deep that for the majority of users, they won’t ever be used. This means the most frequently used ones are exposed more prominently to be quick to access. * That being said, there is a shortcut for adding headings of any level, using the pound/hash sign `#`. If I want a h5, I will start my block by typing `#####`( 5x pound signs), followed by a space, this converts the block to a h5 heading and I can start typing my heading straight away. Hopefully this helps with your workflow.
