Make future posts visible to the public

Hello

I was looking for how to add a simple events calendar to my WordPress site, and I tried a bunch of calendar plugins which I honestly didn’t like at all. Then I found that a lot of people use future posts for upcoming events. That is pretty bright, and I quickly had a list of future posts in my ‘events’ category listed in the sidebar. The trouble is when a regular visitor tries to see the post, which he can’t. How could I make that possible?
