 * Have a site where people can buy memberships to a nonprofit organization. Membership
   is a variable product, as user needs to select Level of Membership (different
   levels have difference prices), and whether membership is New or Renewal.
 * When choosing what type of product to create for this, if I select Variable,
   there doesn’t seem anywhere to also set product type to Virtual. Anyone know
   how to set this up? Update: I found this setting under the individual variations,
   so that’s fixed. Client has been seeing problems due to presence of physical
   goods (books) sold on site. They all have shipping classes, so that should not
   interfere with anything set to “virtual,” as Virtual status should automatically
   not trigger any shipping charges.

 * Hi there [@wpress2010](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wpress2010/),
 * I’m glad to hear that you have found the setting to set your product type to
   Virtual under the individual variations. This is indeed where you would set a
   product to be Virtual, which would then not trigger any shipping charges.
 * As for the issue your client is experiencing with the presence of physical goods
   on the site, you’re correct in stating that having shipping classes for these
   items should not interfere with anything set to “virtual”.
 * However, if problems persist, I recommend checking the configuration of your
   shipping classes and zones to ensure they are set up correctly. Also, verify
   that the physical products are not mistakenly marked as virtual.
 * I hope this helps.
