 * Hi,
 * what if i make custom changes in styles or functions.php. Will this files be
   overwritten if an update of the theme is available? What is the best way to make
   changes and protect this changes from updates?
 * For CSS i know i can use the customizer and add aditional css, but want to make
   my changes in a file for using with git.

 * Hi, alexf812
 * Thanks for contacting us!
 * To make changes and protect this from updates, create a child theme and do the
   changes on it so that once you update the theme the changes will not be lost.
 * Thanks

 * Hi [@rishi911](https://wordpress.org/support/users/rishi911/)
 * thank you for your informations.
    I use the honeypress dark and this is a child
   theme of the honeypress theme. Is this right? In the readme i found this:
 * > Honeypress Dark is the child version of the HoneyPress theme.
 * Can i make a child theme from a child theme?

 * Hi,
 * Yes, HoneyPress Dark is a child theme.
    You can’t make a child theme from a child
   theme. Kindly take a backup of the custom changes and update the theme.
 * Thanks

 * Hi [@rishi911](https://wordpress.org/support/users/rishi911/)
 * this is not very bulletproof. If the customer makes an update then the complete
   css is broken until copying the css file again.
