# Managed WordPress DNS Issues

 * I have a site built through godaddy’s managed wordpress. They provided a domain
   to use during setup (v9p.9f8.myftpupload.com) but I want to move this to my own
   domain. To do so, Godaddy says I must update the DNS A record.
 * I can’t find anywhere in my site’s wordpress settings where I can do this. Has
   anyone else had this issue before? How can I update the site’s DNS within wordpress?

 * Kindly login to your domain account provided by your domain name Registrar, you
   will find the DNS records and how to edit it there.
 * If you purchased your domain name from Godaddy, please contact Godaddy support
   to do this for you.

 * I was told by Godaddy support that this has to be done in WordPress. I found 
   this but I don’t have any of these options in my wordpress? I can only add users
   or update the site content.

   you or they misunderstood the question. DNS records are not managed through WordPress;
   they’re managed through your domain registrar, GoDaddy.
