# Manually Clearing Cache

 * Is there any reason I shouldn’t manage my own cache by manually removing files
   and folders in cache/all?
 * What I have is a high traffic site with hundreds of “pages”. Some are subject
   to occasional updates, most not. It looks to me like this plugin clears the entire
   cache at one time, is that correct? I’d prefer to stagger things such that some
   folders get cleared hourly, some daily and some weekly. Does that work? Thanks.

 * PS — I started doing this using the system cron, but curious whether this might
   cause some problem or not.

 * Did I understand correctly?
 * – abc.com/blog -> clear every 6 hours
    – abc.com/news -> don’t clear
 * do you want such feature?

 * You understand the situation, yes.
 * While I think such a feature is indeed useful, my real question is whether if
   I do this myself using system cron, could this in any way cause a problem with
   this plugin? I am not familiar with the code.
 * For this particular situation, I would actually prefer to manage when specific
   items are cleared. Thanks.

 * If you cannot write code very well, you cannot implement it. and I don’t wanna
   implement such feature because WPFC has 600.000 users and you are the only one
   who asks for this feature 🙂

 * Thats perfectly fine. I can write pretty decent code (started programming in
   1993), but I don’t have time or enough motivation for this.
 * My real question is not for you to implement this. It is if I am causing any
   kind of problem with your plugin, by** manually deleting parts** of the cache
   under cache/all myself. It doesn’t seem so, but want to make sure.
 * I actually prefer managing the cache lifetime this way, rather than the plugin
   doing it. Thanks.

 * noo noo. You won’t have any problem if you delete part of cache. but you should
   NOT delete “minified js” and “minify css”.
