# Manually Installing Theme Problem

 * I’m completely new to this wordpress thing. I followed the instructions to uploading
   a theme manually. I added it to the wp-content-themes folder in my FTP site. 
   Uploaded it. But when I go on wordpress.com I don’t see them active on the appearance-
   themes panel. Any newbie help would be appreciated it.

   themes in wordpress.com.

 * Hmm, I’m not quite sure to be honest. I installed them through the FTP Site. 
   What exactly is a self host wordpress? I have hosting with go daddy.com

 * Self host site is that you install your self on Go Daddy just uploading using
   ftp is not going to work you need to install by creating a database and running
   install program.
