 * I’m testing out the Lite version and on two out of three marker maps, Google
is sending the wrong location. The second glitch I’m seeing is that if I move
the marker to its right location, and then click somewhere on the map (both before
and after updating with the correct location), that marker MOVES off its correct
location into the direction of where my curser is when I click on the map. I’ve
tested this out a lot, and the marker is most definitely skipping away from its
   location.
 * In the third marker map, I have all the correct information entered, but the
map simply will not draw on my creation page. I am seeing a blank white space
where the map should be. This last issue is just on one map marker (the 3rd of
the three). I’ve deleted that marker map entirely and recreated it from scratch,
twice now and am getting the same thing. It just does not like that address.
 * Please advise re these two issues.

 * regarding Google: if one address is wrong when using the Google Places feature,
this is not in my control. From my experience, I didnt experience any wrong Google
   Places address so far though.
 * regarding moving marker: on backend, the marker can be moved to new location
by dragging the marker or by mouse click. This is intentional.
 * regarding blank white space: can you please post a link to a post/page with this
map please so that I can have a look?
 * regarding last issue: as said in the beginning, the Google Places feature results
are beyond my control. Anyway please post the address/map you wanted to display
   and I can try too.
    best, Robert

 * Hi Robert, thanks for prompt answer–
 * My website is being built so on Maintenance Block but you can recreate the issue
and see if you get the same thing. The map that won’t draw on my Map Marker page
itself is Parker’s Maple Barn, 1316 Brookline Road, Mason, NH. It WILL, however,
come into posts both as an individual map and it also shows up on the layer that
has 2 other locations. For what it’s worth, I’ve noticed that the program throws
in four forward-slash marks after the word Parker and before the apostrophe upon
Save/Update. Just mentioning in case that matters.
 * The first map that throws its marker into a wonky place is Pickity Place, 248
Nutting Hill Road, Mason, NH. Put that into Google Map’s website and you can
see where the marker belongs. Put it into a test Marker Map though, and the marker
lands at the end of the street, about a mile away.
 * The second map throws its marker _waaay_ off track, not even close. That’s The
Woolery, 604 Gibbons Highway, Wilton, NH. Entered directly into Google Maps,
it lands correctly. Creating a Marker Map with the same address info, however,
puts its marker in Bedford, NH, about 45 minutes drive north of where it should
   be.
 * I will have to learn not to click near a marker map’s location then. I knew you
could drag a marker, but I don’t love it moving off its target via just a click
somewhere near it on the map. If it’s only at the back end, I can just be very
   careful then. 😉

 * Okay, there is definitely some sort of glitch. I just created a new Marker Map
for Salmon Falls Stoneware, 75 Oak Street, Dover, NH 03820. On Google Maps (going
direct to Google), I get the right location. On my Marker Map, however, it again
throws my marker into the middle of a State Forest in Bedford, NH which I think
may be where it had put the marker for The Woolery (info re that in previous
   post above).
 * I tried setting map sources other than Google ((Open Street and MapQuest) and
both of them also place the marker in the state forest area instead of where
   it belongs.
 * I’m going to hold off making any other maps until you respond. Please try it
at your end and see if you get the same thing.

 * **READ FIRST**
 * Robert, I’m ducking my head under the table. I think the glitch was some weird
thing at my end OR it was something with the Lite version. After my last post,
I couldn’t leave it alone so I downloaded the Pro version because I’m liking
this plugin as it stands (all except for hover). I then re-booted, _plus_ I switched
to Firefox instead of IE which I had been using (latest version though).
 * In any event, for whichever of the above reasons, now ALL of the maps I had trouble
with, I’m re-making without any problem whatsoever. And the Pro version appears
like it’s going to be an exciting piece to work with. Maps are critical to my
purposes, and now that I understand the advantages to the layer that’s actually
going to save me a lot of time.
    Happy Camper.

 * Hi Janjo,
great to hear that this issue could be solved. IE is very likely to
have been the reason for this issue, especially if you used an older version.
I’d generally recommend NOT to use IE, as this browser is really causing developers
headaches as it doesnt conform to web standards and more. On the other hand,
this issue could also have been related with the lite version, especially as
it uses another – older – version of leaflet.js – “the engine of the plugin”.
So I will try to reproduce your issue and if I find something, try to fix it
in the affected versions. if you have any further questions, let me know! best,
   Robert

 * Thanks Robert–
 * My IE version is new, and I’m really used to it but I may start using Firefox.
At some point I’ll re-create one of the glitchy maps in IE and see if that was
   it.
 * I’m really liking this plugin because once I found out that I can use the same
markers with different scopes of layer maps plus use them separately as stand-
alones, that is a huge potential advantage.
 * One question remains at this time. Your Demo shows a blue round-headed push pin
marker – I think the second one in on the top row, 0014-something. There’s also
a yellow one and a red one. Where are those? They stand out visually, but don’t
get in the way of seeing road names.
 * Thanks!

 * Well than it could be that the pro version works better with newer IE versions.
 * regarding demo: the markers there are just examples if I understand your question
right and do not necessarily point to an existing location.

 * It may be, I think my IE is fairly recently updated but I do hear hinky things
about IE in eneral. Now I don’t know where I saw the markers, I thought it was
on your demo site but just went there and they’re not there. In any event, that’s
   okay.
 * Thanks, Robert. I will look over whatever documentation you have on your other
support forum too. Looks like this will probably be a keeper. 😉
