    Thank you for getting in touch, my sincere apologies for the delay in responding.

    Yes, you can indeed. The Google Maps engine supports “bounce” and “drop” animations.

    If you’re using OpenLayers then it’s possible to target the markers using CSS, which can be used to create all kinds of animated effects. We’d be quite happy to provide any CSS if you would like to describe the animation you’re looking for (and are using OpenLayers).
