The initial problem solved. I had to disable the Google Map API, but I have no idea where and how my site had one already. Anyway, now the map show at the backend but not on the listing page. I’m using WP standard Twenty Sixteen Theme. What to do?
There are often issues with plugins or themes adding a google maps API. Ensure a key is set somewhere. If using Easy Property Listings Google Maps API then that will be loaded globally on every page.
Other plugins may selectively load the maps api so not sure. If you inspect the page and see if you can see any errors in the Console (Google Chrome browser) it will indicate if you have an incorrect key, or multiple keys in place.
Set a Google Maps API key
This is getting weird. I have changed to iThemes buider child theme and the problems continue.
I can see the map and it is working in the previous properties whether I have the EPL Google Map API active or not. But none of the new ones show the map on the admin side or the property page. Activating or deactivating the EPL API has no effect. Also now the additional pictures do not show if added as per EPL instructions just by closing the Media gallery after selection. I am using the recommended EasyFancy Box plugin.
I am about to give up on EPL on this site……
