# Map on Testing Server – API Issues

 * Hi,
 * I’m using wp-store-locator and developing a new site on a WPEngine testing server.
   
   My Google maps API key works for my domain but not in the dev environment.
 * Is there a way to set things up on the dev server so that I can have wp-store-
   locator up and running in the dev environment prior to going live to the domain?

 * The API keys ( assuming the referrers are set ) are restricted to a domain / 
   IP address, so if you want to use the keys on multiple domains you have to add
   those IP / domains as well to the referrers for both [API](https://wpstorelocator.co/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/google-browser-key-2_2016.gif)
