# Maps API Error using Avada theme

 * I just installed wp google maps free version plugin on avada theme and I’m getting
   an error: ‘Maps API Error’.
    The error starts in the settings, even before applying
   the short code on the page.
 * The site is currently in maintenance mode.

 * Thank you for your support.
 * I think Api settings are correct and I already added the site to the authorized
   URLs list in API key dashboard.

 * Also I’ve added other sites and only in the avada is getting the error.
 * I already opened a ticket in which I grant the accesses to the wordpress admin
   panel.

 * Please remove your existing referrer strings, then add a referrer string formatting
   it **exactly** like this:
 * `*example.com/*`
 * That will solve this issue.
 * If you need us to give you the specific string, can you please confirm you are
   happy for us to post that string, which includes the sites URL, publicly?
