# Maps Block Having Issues

 * According to this page, Google Maps has removed support for V2 of their API:

 * The change appeared to have taken place today, because I’m finding a lot of embedded
   maps no longer working – including some I’ve added via the Map block.
 * Depending on the browser, I receive an error where the embed would be stating“
   blocked by x-frame-options policy”.
 * EDIT: It looks like adding a current API key to the map fixes the issue. But 
   without the key, the map throws an error.

 * Thanks for reporting this. It seems like Google Map has added restriction in 
   how people embed maps without an API key. Here is an article to help you ([https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key](https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key)).
   Once you have the key you can input it in the editor sidebar when you have the
   map block selected.

   for your help! I was able to grab an API key to get the maps working again.

   is not specified.

 * Are you putting the API key into the box that is asking for it or in the code.
   When I put it in the editor sidebar it doesn’t let me input the map locations.
   Just resets everytime I hit submit

   the editor’s sidebar. This was for existing maps, though so I didn’t notice any
   issues with the location.
