# Maps widget doesn’t show map

 * The map widget does not show anything, just a gray background. Any idea? Elementor’s
   own maps widget works.

 * Elements Plus provides enchantments for Google Maps in which the API key is mandatory.
   
   If this persists please send me a URL with a map attached so I can see what’s
   going on.

 * Yeah I generated the API key but it still didn’t work. Didn’t have enough time
   so used EAE for it.

 * Hi there,
    In general Google Maps API is very strict when you add referrers. 
   So try not to use any referers if you experience issues ([https://prnt.sc/iqzf28](https://prnt.sc/iqzf28)).
   In any case, feel free to contact me if you get stuck somewhere.
 * EDIT: It would help If you have the time to send me any Errors you get from the
   Developers Console ([https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/console/](https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/console/)).
