Math $..$ does not render ok

    HI
    for math equation : $ x^2 $ , it does not show up correctly. though \( x^2 \) works.

    but $$ x^2 $$ works,

    any thing need to be configured?

    According to the information, I have explained why some math equations work and others do not. Please check the following details:

    • \( x^2 \) works
    • $$ x^2 $$ works
    • $ x^2 $ does not render correctly

    This usually happens because inline math enclosed in single $ ... $ is not enabled by default in some MathJax or KaTeX configurations. Many LMS platforms, including Masteriyo LMS and other WordPress setups, allow only certain formats:

    • \( ... \) for inline equations
    • $$ ... $$ for display (block) equations

    The only thing is in your documents it said it supports $…$.
