Hi.
This limitation is not applied by our plugin, but by Stripe itself. According to its documentation https://stripe.com/docs/currencies#minimum-and-maximum-charge-amounts :
The only limit to the maximum amount you can charge a customer is a technical one. The amount value supports up to eight digits (e.g., a value of 99999999 for a USD charge of $999,999.99).
Also, according to currency converters, RP999,999 equals to US$15,379.98, so looks like you actually can accept more than US$100 (I used this currency converter https://inr.mconvert.net/usd/999999 )
Rp = Indonesia Rupiah, current exchange rate is about Rp13,000=US$1, so Rp999,999 = US$76.92
Yep I heard from stripe and there is nothing that they can do so we’ll have to get people to pay in another currency.
Thanks for your help!!
My apologies, I have confused Indonesia Rupiah (IDR) with Indian Rupee (INR).
This is actually strange that Stripe is not looking at currency conversion rates. For example, they could of implement a very easy fix for this by marking it a zero-cents currency (like JPY, for example). This would allow customers to accept Rp99,999,999, which is more than US$7,000.
Anyway, looks like the only way for you to make it work like you want is to use another currency indeed.
Thats a good idea thanks! I’ll contact stripe and ask if they can mark Rp as zero-cents currency like JPY.
