 * We have a website with quite a few plugins (67) and hoped SPB would help us to
   get better ratings on GTMetrix since we needed to defer a lot of JS scripts.
   We use a plugin called “Plugin Organizer” to filter out some unnecessary plugins
   from some pages but there’s still about 54 plugins loaded on the home page.
 * It seems to work like a charm in defering JS files, meaning the warning instantly
   went away, and only a few third-party JS files were left.
 * However, our homepage went from ~1.8s loading and ~75 request to >5s loading
   and >800 request. The page would display slightly quicker, but content would
   take much longer to load. We’ve tried different options but without luck.
 * In the end, we removed the plugin and experienced better performance without.
   It may or may have not been caused by our specific environment.

 * Giving a 2 star rating because you can’t make a website with 67 plugin to load
   quickly… How can you call this? 🙂

 * As (@tiguan) has reported, a site running 67 plugins would not load fast and
   it could definitely cause issues between plugins especially JavaScript conflict
   issues. One key factor with WordPress websites is to have as few plugins as possible
   active and or installed. This would improve drastically the loading and speed
   of your site. Of course there are other factors to consider but that is another
   topic altogether.
 * To give this plugin a rating of 2 stars because of your current setup is not
   doing justice to this great plugin. Please consider what I have suggested above
   and change your ratings to a higher number of stars 😉
 * Kind regards

 * I agree that I may have been a little harsh with my review here and I’m bumping
   this to three stars for the quick reply which is something we don’t see enough
   nowadays.
 * The thing here that is important to note is that **our page did load fast before
   we installed SBP**. We were only looking to follow some suggestions indicated
   by GTMetrix (which should in return improve the performance). A page load of **
   ~1.8s** and **~75 requests** for logged in users is satisfying. It’s not bleeding-
   edge fast, but fast enough. For logged out users, the page was loading very fast
   as well, probably even closer to the 1s range.
 * After the plugin was installed and we started deferring JS files, this increased
   drastically to well over **5s** and the numbers of requests spiked to **~800**.
   The overall performance of the website also decreased significantly.
 * Unfortunately it looks like there may be some incompatibilities with other plugins
   in our environment. I realize the challenge it is to ensure compatibility across
   the WP ecosystem so I may as well just remove this review unless you want to
   investigate further on the issue.
 * Kind regards,
    B

 * Thank you for adding 1 more star.
 * Now looking at your comment further. When deferring JS files you first have to
   make sure that the plugin in question allows for deferring of the JS files in
   the first place.
 * In regards to your other comment.
 * > Unfortunately it looks like there may be some incompatibilities with other
   > plugins in our environment.
 * Fix those incompatibilities first and make sure there are no more issues. Then
   you can test this plugin again and see if there are any improvements in your
   site loading.
 * Regards

 * @mrbsolution : Regarding the incompatibilities, they arise from the use of SBP,
   not between our plugins. While I’d usually be happy to dig in deeper, it’s a
   very busy season for us and this is not something I can do currently.

 * [@thisisbbc](https://wordpress.org/support/users/thisisbbc/), no problem and
   I understand. Take your time with this but you will notice a huge improvement
   in your site once you remove quite a few of your plugins. Too many plugin are
   not very good for WordPress websites.
 * Kine regards
