 * Hi there
 * Is there an easy way of creating “admin pages” to allow specified users to add/
   edit members/payments etc, without giving them access to the WordPress admin
   dashboard?
 * With many thanks in advance
    Nik

 * Hey [@nikbond](https://wordpress.org/support/users/nikbond/),
 * Hope you’re well.
 * Unfortunately, there is no feature like that at the current version of Membership
   2. As far as I know, there are some plugins to edit WordPress admin dashboard(
   giving access to some pages etc…) maybe you can achieve with that some similar
   worflow. But creating custom frontend pages for work like admin pages, you need
   custom coding for that.

    Oguz

 * Many thanks Oguz. I suspected that was the case but just thought I’d double check
   I hadn’t missed anything before trying to re-invent the wheel!
 * No worries… maybe I’ll even have a go at writing my own plug-in for it 😉
 * In the meantime however, I’ve come up with another issue as I’ve just activated
   the Admin Side Proection add-on but it’s not working (ie. not appearing under
   Protection Rules). This seems to be the same as reported here – [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/admin-side-protection-not-an-option-in-protection-rules/](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/admin-side-protection-not-an-option-in-protection-rules/)
   back in February. Has it been fixed yet or am I missing something?
 * Warm regards
    Nik

 * Hey [@nikbond](https://wordpress.org/support/users/nikbond/),
 * Hope you’re well.
 * I checked and looks like there is a problem with the free version of Membership
   2. I am checking the developer side and will let you know what about the report
   and is there any fix for this.
 * But also I checked the pro version of the plugin and looks like pro version is
   working correctly. We have trial time so you can sign up for trial and use pro
   version.
 * Cheers,
    Oguz

 * Hi again Oguz
 * Thank you again and I would be very grateful if you could indeed check if there
   is a fix.
 * For what it’s worth, there is also this ([https://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-messages-bug-with-latest-update/](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-messages-bug-with-latest-update/))
   outstanding issue with the latest free version not generating validation messages,
   which as far as I am aware, hasn’t been addressed yet either 😉
 * I really don’t need the additional features in the Pro version but are you saying
   I could download the free trial version and then continue using it without having
   to pay? What would happen to updates in that case as presumably I wouldn’t be
   able to update the Pro version at all 😉
 * Warm regards

 * Hey [@nikbond](https://wordpress.org/support/users/nikbond/),
 * Hope you’re well.
 * Sorry for my late reply. I checked that add-on with developers and looks like
   there is a confusion about that add-on. It is actually a pro add-on so should
   there activate button for the free version. And this is why not working. It will
   be fixed with the other error at the next version.
 * For the other problem that you shared still in development. We are not publishing
   changes one by one so there are other fixes and also testing phase for next version,
   it can take a little more time. Thanks for your patience!

 * Hi Oguz
 * Thank you again. Are you saying that Admin Side Protection is available in the
   Pro version only? This certainly isn’t clear from the plug-in (it’s shown as
   an installable add-on) and I’ve seen other users of the free version asking about
   it in the past…
 * If the above is true, also just to ask again… I really don’t need the additional
   features in the Pro version (other than the Admin Side Protection!) but are you
   saying I could download the free trial version and then continue using it without
   having to pay? What would happen to updates in that case as presumably I wouldn’t
   be able to update the Pro version at all?

 * Hey [@nikbond](https://wordpress.org/support/users/nikbond/),
 * Hope you’re well today.
 * Yes, it is Pro version only. It will be more clear for future updates, thanks
   for informing us about that. You can use the plugin for the free trial and when
   it is expired you can continue to use pro version. But you can’t update the plugin
   when there is an update about pro version without continue to pay for the member.

    Oguz
