Which plugin are you trying to use?
Sorry you’re struggling, but do be aware that these are 100% volunteer forums so help is often hit or miss. Depends on your issue and who may be available who has knowledge of the issue at hand.

Hi and thank you, I am now trying paid membership pro free version, I tried buddy press, and many others and nothing seems to set up the members registration login or any of that so they can have a profile page and do the things they can do on Facebook but strickly for musicians only. I can’t afford to have web company do this since starting out and they all say easy user friendly but that is not true with all I have tried.

WordPress is built with the intention of being used as a blogging/publishing platform, so shoe-horning other concepts like social networking to work with it can prove difficult.
If you can’t hire a developer or do your own development you are at the mercy of pre-build plugins and themes which may not always produce the desired results.
I think BuddyPress would be your best option, but you mentioned that it wasn’t work for you. Could you elaborate on the problems you had with the plugin or what features it may have been lacking?

Yes Buddy press did not set up the required registration page or login member pages at all. There was no page for a new member to sign up and none for a member to log in and no profile or communication pages either. everything buddy press sai it would do automatically did not do any of it.

It looks like you will probably need to use several plugins to do what you describe. So yes, a membership plugin sounds like a good way to go – at least for part of it.
As to getting help with plugins, each plugin has its own sub-forum – which is where some developers and often other volunteers who know how to use that plugin will see threads posted asking for help.
